WNOR Pin-Up Girl Contest Rules 2016

From 12:00am on 11/8/16 through 11:59pm 2/19/17, entrants must submit a photo of themselves dressed in “Pin-Up Girl” attire and fill out the form with their information. One entry per person. The person in the photograph must be of the person submitting the entry.  WNOR has the final say of what content is appropriate for the website. No use of indecent or obscene material, no content or material that is illegal, contains nudity or is sexually explicit, or by law, obscene, profane or pornographic is permitted. Inappropriate photos will be disqualified. Any photographs submitted to WNOR becomes the property of WNOR and may be used in any manner we feel appropriate in the future. No purchase necessary. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.

There will be 4 voting periods throughout the contest. Entrants must only submit one entry. If they are not chosen as a qualifier during the voting periods, their entry will remain in the contest and will be included in the next voting round. Entrant must enter during an entry period as listed below to be eligible to compete in a voting round. No entries will be accepted during a voting round. The top 5 entrants in each voting round will move on to compete in the “Miss Hampton Roads Pin-Up Girl” Contest finale on 3/4/17 at 6pm at the Hampton Roads Tattoo Festival at Hampton Roads Convention Center. In the event of a tie amongst eligible entrants, a random drawing will be conducted to determine the 5 finalists per round. In the event there are 4 or less entries in a voting round, then no voting will occur in that round and each entrant will become a finalist. Additional finalists will be chosen in the final round to equal 20 total finalists chosen. The entry and voting rounds are as follows:

  • Entry: 12/5/16 at 12:00pm through 12/26/16 at 11:59pm
  • Voting: 12/27/16 at 10:00am through 1/2/17 at 11:59pm
  • 5 finalists announced and contacted by phone 1/3/17
• Round 3
  • Entry: 1/3/17 at 12:00pm through 1/22/17 at 11:59pm
  • Voting: 1/23/17 at 10:00am through 1/29/17 at 11:59pm
  •  5 finalists announced and contacted by phone 1/30/17
• Round 4
  • Entry: 1/30/17 at 12:00pm through 2/19/17 at 11:59pm
  • Voting: 2/20/17 at 10:00am through 2/26/17 at 11:59pm
  •  5 finalists announced and contacted by phone 2/27/17

Listeners can vote once per day during each voting round. If an entrant receives irregular votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, WNOR reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion.

Finalists are to be chosen at the sole discretion of WNOR based upon vote totals. WNOR reserves the right to select an alternate finalist(s) based upon voting totals should a finalist(s) be deemed ineligible.

On 3/4/17 at 6pm, the “Miss Hampton Roads Pin-Up Girl” Contest finale will take place at the Hampton Roads Tattoo Festival at Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Dr., Hampton, VA 23666. The 20 qualifiers chosen in the voting rounds will receive free entry into the tattoo festival and will be invited to participate by dressing up in their best “Pin-Up Girl” attire and make-up and making an appearance on stage. A panel of judges will select 3 finalists based upon pin up style, how they interact with audience, and stage presence. In the event of a tie, a random drawing amongst tied entrants will be done. The decision of the judges is final. One grand prize winner will then be chosen by the audience. Each of the 3 finalists will appear on stage and the audience will be asked to clap and cheer for each one. The finalist with loudest audience reaction, as deemed by the panel of judges, will be designated the winner. The decision of the judges is final.

The grand prize winner will receive:

• $1,000 cash
• $500 gift card to Folk City Tattoo 
• black diamond earrings (ARV: $500)
• $500 custom bike built by Hund's Recycle Factory 
• Trophy (ARV: $20)

Grand Prize total: $2520, retail

All prizes furnished by provided by contest organizer and festival promoter John Cann, who provided the value of each prize. Prize will be awarded at the finale on 3/4/17.

WNOR contests are open to all eligible residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older. Entrants must be available to participate in the finale event on 3/4/17 at 6pm at Hampton Road Convention Center. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WNOR, Tidewater Communications, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the (station) main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
