WNOR Checkpoint Strikeforce Slogan Contest Rules
1. How to enter and participate
From 11/26/12 through 12/9/12 at 11:59pm, entrants may go to the “Checkpoint Strikeforce Slogan Contest” page on FM99.com. Entrants must register with UPICKEM and fill out the form, including an original anti-drunk driving slogan. WNOR has the final say of what content is appropriate for the website.

3.The extent, nature and value of the prizes
One grand prize winner will win: 4 tickets (valued at $50 each) to the “Ring in the New Year Show” at the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant, 217 Central Park Ave., Virginia Beach, VA 23462 and 2 hotel rooms (valued at $383.94 total) on 12/31/12 at the Westin Town Center, 4535 Commerce Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
Non-grand prize winning entrants will be entered to win, gift card 1, a $125 Visa gift card. Winner will be chosen via random drawing on 12/21/12.
Listeners who cast a vote between 12/10/12 and 12/20/12 will be entered to win, gift card 2, a $125 Visa Gift card. Entrants will be entered into the drawing one time regardless of how many times they voted. Winner will be chosen via random drawing on 12/21/12. Grand prize winner and winner of the $125 Visa gift card 1 will not be eligible to win the $125 Visa gift card 2.
4. Basis for valuation of the prizes
Funny Bone ticket value based upon price listed on their web site.
Westin Hotel rooms based upon receipt we have from paying for the rooms.
5. Time and means of selection of winner (and/or tie breaking procedures)
On 12/10/12, FM99.com will list the top 5 slogans submitted in the contest. These 5 will be chosen by a panel of FM99 and Checkpoint Strikeforce personnel and management based upon their creativity and anti-drunk driving message.
From 12/10/12 through 12/20/12 at 11:59pm, listeners will be invited to vote on the top 5 slogans. One vote per person per day. Listeners must be registered in the UPICKEM system in order to vote. The grand prize winner will be chosen by a panel of FM99 and Checkpoint Strikeforce personnel and management based upon their creativity, anti-drunk driving message, and listener votes.
6. Eligibility restrictions
Entrants must be 21 or over and live within the WNOR listening area.
7. When prizes can be won and awarded
All Prizes will be awarded on 12/21/12.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
fm99 reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
fm99 reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of fm99, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to fm99 the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
fm99 reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or fm99. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and fm99 are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
