WNOR Pin Up Girl Contest August 2013 Material Terms
- How to enter and participate
Beginning 7/22/13 at 12:00am through 8/4/13 at11:59pm, participants may enter the contest on FM99.com by going to the “1st Annual Miss Virginia Beach Pin Up Girl” contest page, filling out the form, and submitting one photo. Entrants must be a registered user of the UPICKEM system in order to enter the contest.

- 1st Place: $500 cash, $200 Folk City gift card, Photo shoot with Pop & Locke Pinup for Twisted Ink magazine ($500 value), and a trophy ($40 value)
- 2nd Place: $100 cash, $200 gift card to Folk City Tattoo, and a trophy ($33 value).
- 3rd Place: $50 cash and a trophy ($33 value)
- All other non-winning entrants will be entered into a drawing to win a $99 certificate to Folk City Tattoo
- Basis for valuation of the prizes
gift cards are at face value; photo shoots valued by photographers; trophy valued by client who is having them produced

From 8/5/13 at 11am through 8/11/13 at 11:59pm, listeners may vote on FM99.com for their favorite pin-up girl. Voters must be registered users of the UPICKEM system and may vote once per day. On 8/12/13, a panel of FM99 and Tattoo Festival staffers will choose the Top 30 entrants as finalists based upon the following: Appearance, Pin-up style poses, and listener votes. The decision of the judges is final.
Listeners can vote once per day during the voting round. Voting is limited to one vote per verified email address. If an entrant receives irregular votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, WNOR reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion.
These 30 finalists will be required to attend the finale where the “1st Annual Miss Virginia Beach Pin Up Girl” will be crowned. This will take place on 8/17/13 at 7pm (6pm arrival time) at the Virginia Beach Tattoo Festival, Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. In the event a Top 30 finalist is not able to attend the finale, she will forfeit her spot and another finalist will be named.
At the finale, the Top 30 finalists will be judged by a panel of judges from the “1st Annual Miss Virginia Beach Pin Up Girl.” They will be judged on the following: Appearance - Pin-up dress; Stage Presence - Ability to tastefully please the audience and judging panel; and Pin-up style poses. One entrant will be named the “1st Annual Miss Virginia Beach Pin Up Girl.” A second entrant will be named the 2ndplace winner. A 3rd entrant will be named the 3rd place winner. The decision of the judges is final. In the event of a tie, judges will conduct a random drawing amongst the tied entrants to determine the winner of that spot.
- Eligibility restrictions
All general WNOR contest rules apply and can be viewed at FM99.com.The person in the photograph must be of the person submitting the entry. One Entry per person; must be a female 18 or older. WNOR has the final say of what content is appropriate for the website. Inappropriate photos will be disqualified. Any photographs submitted to WNOR become property of WNOR and may be used in any manner we feel appropriate in the future.
All general WNOR contest rules apply and can be viewed at FM99.com. WNOR contests are open to all eligible residents who live or work within 75 miles from our offices and who have not won anything on WNOR in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of WNOR, Tidewater Communications, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WNOR main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
As a condition of participating in the contest, entrants must agree to execute a release permitting Twisted Ink magazine to use photos of all contestants for further promotion of the contest, to be published in Twisted Ink magazine or other media owned and operated by Twisted Ink LTD.
- When prizes can be awarded.
We will make a reasonable effort to award prizes within 45 days of winning and will be provided by Tattoo Festival organizers.
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If fm99 cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
fm99 reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
fm99 reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of fm99, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to fm99 the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
fm99 reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or fm99. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and fm99 are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
fm99 reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
