My girlfriend and I met in may and had the blissful summer relationship. Then, she went back to JMU while I stayed at Ol Dirty (odu). Surprisingly, the long distance thing went okay but when our first valentine's day came around I knew I had to up my game. The plan was simple, skip class, drive 4 hours to JMU to surprise her, deliver flowers and give her a kiss then return in time for my shift at work. Unfortunately, a last minute snow storm arrived shutting down 64 and making the trip impossible. It was too late to order any flowers so I was forced to call her and explain my situation. I went from hero to zero quickly. Guess there is a silver lining, she believed/forgave me and 9 years later we are married with a kid. It makes great conversation every February 14th.
